Meant to post this on Tuesday. I did manage to get out to vote and it was great! There were so many people and lots of energy and excitement; this is what all elections should be like. I surprised myself by NOT voting for who I thought I was going to vote for all along. Something happened when I did my last minute research and walked into that booth; it was weird. Well, here in Texas, you walk into your little precinct polling area and there's a "democratic" line and a "republican" line. Every one I spoke to said the republican line was non-existent, or had only 1 or 2 people, and that the demoncrat line usually had around 20-30 people waiting, which was the same in my case. I think there were about 15 people ahead of me when I went at 4pm. The whole time I was there, not a single republican primary voter came in. I guess I can't be that surprised since we live close to the University and it's a lot more liberal.
