cal's first sentence (fragment)! tucker bought him a new thomas the train car - a rockhopper. and this morning, he was playing with a shoebox, and he and tucker were practicing putting things in the box. so he puts the toy in the box and looks up and says "rockhopper in box"!
he's been on this crazy learning spurt the last couple of weeks. i've been trying to keep track of what he's been learning...
- jul 11 - eyes, ears, nose and mouth. he pointed to each of the things on trixie's face and said the word!
- jul 12 - not just foot, but feet! he grabbed both his feet on the changing table and said "feet!"
- jul 15 - the letters Q and X!
- jul 16 - jook (chinese word for rice soup)
- jul 17 - the letter K, open/close. he was playing with this toothbrush holder and he liked to hear it snap shut, so he would snap it and say "close"!
- jul 18 - tractor, empty, rockhopper in box
the kid's going gangbusters!

Very cute kiddo. Congrats to you two. The "i just got talking" phase is a great period (not that I have any direct experience in that but my powers of observation are well beyond normal mammals).
