cal's uncle josh is our video game guru. last night we had game night (a.k.a. boys night in) and we played one of the coolest games yet. it's a new "star wars" video game that allows you to interactively play through episodes 1 through 3. but the best part is, everything is made out of legos! i love legos. all the characters look just like the real live star wars legos, and most of the ships are duplicates of the actual lego sets you can buy. the gameplay is great, and includes lots of light-saber action as well as oppurtunities to use "the force". it's also fairly kid friendly (rated E for everyone); if a character gets hit by one too many blasters, it just falls apart into it's various lego pieces, and is soon put back together again to continue the quest. all the music is john williams original, and all the sound effects are true as well, giving a very authentic experience. and for a nice change of pace, there is absolutely no dialogue.
